One week, seven different days
Norman gives you a food plan for the whole week and a guide for each day. You do not need the same calorie deficit every day. Planned steps and workouts can make one day’s food guide higher than another’s.
A simple example
In a sample week, moving 200 food calories from Tuesday to Friday changes those two days, not the weekly total. That can make room for dinner out.
Your next step
Open Week to review your days and use Set my week to choose a change. Leave enough food for regular meals on every day.
A little more detail
The engine combines resting and activity estimates, subtracts the weekly planned deficit and distributes food across open days. Closed days use saved actual food and activity. Safety floors protect automatic targets; manual shifts still need sensible choices. A forecast is not completed progress.
Questions you might have
Why not a fixed 500 calorie deficit every day?
500 is one common example, not a rule. Your chosen weekly goal may need a smaller gap, and days can differ. A manageable weekly pattern matters more than identical daily numbers.
Why do workout days and rest days differ?
Planned workouts add estimated energy use on those days, so the food guide may be higher. Rest means no planned workout, not no movement; ordinary steps still count.
Can I shift Tuesday calories to Friday or eat more at weekends?
Yes, use the Week planning controls to choose the days. This moves food within the same week rather than creating extra calories. Avoid leaving another day with too little food.
When does my week reset?
Your seven-day cycle follows your chosen start date, not necessarily Monday. Week shows its dates. Starting a fresh week in More keeps your past history; it is not a way to erase what happened.
Is planning ahead okay?
Yes. Plan a dinner or a workout, but only log actual food and completed activity as done. Plans help you prepare; they are not evidence of progress yet.
Do I need to use every calorie?
No need to hit the guide exactly. Appetite varies. But regularly eating far below it is not a bonus goal. Aim for enough food, balanced meals and a sustainable pattern.
